PRINT ORDERS & SHIPPING: TIMING TO CONSIDER
I order prints (I keep a limited inventory) and ship about once a week. Prints take about 2 weeks to get to me in general, and then I ship to you, so it could be 3+ weeks before you get your print. "Rush" orders are possible, and there will be additional cost. Please message me and we'll make arrangements.
ONLINE VS. REAL LIFE COLORS:
Every effort is made to display as accurately and true-ly as possible the colors and images of my pieces. Because displays and screens transmit colors differently for myriad reasons, there is no way to guarantee what you see on screen will be the exact same as what you will see in an original or print that you purchase.
PRINTS FROM ORIGINAL ART: CUSTOM PRINTED FOR YOU
Prints from originals are custom-printed for every order. I like the personal aspect this adds to the overall experience of appreciating and valuing art and the processes around it, from my paint-speckled studio to the walls of your space. My process is a slow, considered one compared to the 'get it tomorrow' culture prevalent with online shopping.
- Giclée prints are made by a professional print lab on a beautiful fine art paper with high-quality archival pigment inks. My understanding is that it's a pigment inkjet printer that uses an 11-color Lucia Pro ink system plus a Chroma Optimizer for high-quality, professional large-format prints. The specific inks include various photo and matte blacks, cyans, magentas, yellows, and grays. (That makes me swoon - so great.)
- The canvas prints are laminated to protect against moisture and UV exposure, and have a back dust cover.
- Each print is signed. Limited Editions include a Certificate of Authenticity.
ARE THERE OTHER PRINTING OPTIONS AVAILABLE?
Yes/usually/at my discretion, based on how my experience with reproductions. (Some types of art don't look as great on certain substrates.) Canvas, metallic paper, metals, watercolor paper are available. Please contact me for a quote. And, I may be looking at making silk scarves - I'd love to know if that's appealing to you.
DO YOU DO PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes: Please message me to tell me the piece you'd like and we can set up mutually agreeable terms.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN OR REFUND POLICY?
If you are not satisfied with the art, please let me know as I want you to be pleased with your purchase and we'll work to find a solution. (Nearly 100% of the time it is a final sale, no refunds.)
If a print has been damaged in transit, please let me know and we'll work on getting that resolved and a new print made. We'll discuss if it is an original - to date no pieces have been damaged in shipping.
CAN I GET A PRINT IN A DIFFERENT SIZE?
Smaller: Yes. Larger: Maybe. It depends on the piece and how large a print you're hoping for. The larger an image scales, the less sharp the image, which is often fine and will depend mostly on the viewing distance. Please contact me and include the name of the piece and the size you'd like, and include what the viewing distance will be. We can jump on the phone, too, if that's easier.
DO YOU DO COMMISSIONS?
I'd love to create something personal for you. Please tell me all the details of what you are interested in, are envisioning. We'll then have a phone or video conversation, arrive at an agreement on the piece and the timing, and make your vision a reality. Terms are typically 50% deposit, final 50% due on completion.
WHAT MEDIUMS DO YOU USE?
Mostly acrylic. I also play with watercolor, gouache, charcoal, pencil, markers, ink, and more. I make art on canvas, wood, fine art papers, handmade paper, cardboard, mat board, a variety of recycled papers, boxes, tins, canvas, and more. Sometimes I include leaves, bottle seals, rose petals, and found objects.
I REALLY LIKE A NATURE PHOTO OF YOURS I SAW ON SOCIAL MEDIA. CAN I GET A PRINT MADE?
Yes. I have several on my site so please take a look in case it's there. If not: 1) Comment on the photo on the social site and tell me you'd like a print. Then, 2) Use my Connect form to send me the date of the post, your social handle/account ID, a general description of the photo(s), and what size you're interested in. I'll reply back with the cost and ordering details, and answer any questions.
