sharing your art with the world

i've joined two community art shows the past few months at the local community center. i'm displaying some of my art in our local library next month. i have done this with photography in the past. i do it to be part of the community, to revel in the art of my neighbors, to share what i hope will touch someone in the way they didn't know they needed. i'm not sure if i'll ever apply to be in a gallery. i just like knowing there are artists all around me also sharing their gifts with a world that needs what only art provides for us.
