the quiet and the wonder
there is a resounding quiet at times when i'm making things. and at other times this whirring and excited air when paint and color and shapes and lines collide and blend and merge and repel and make something unexpected. it's all dazzling in bigger or smaller ways. something is there that wasn't before. my mind is rarely quiet; with the current Goings-On, it screams and cries a lot, honestly. so the making things helps take me to another place of deeply needed quietude and wonderment.
