maintaining hope & vision
a key is not giving into despair long-term, and by that, meaning keeping it as brief as possible - and not longer than 24 hours, 90 seconds preferably. light is always to be found after periods of dark, and often it is found within periods of dark, too.
(this painting is in progress. i've never used this much black in a painting before. it was quite challenging while very interesting. i have no idea where it's going, but its own vision is coming through.)
another key is being clear with the vision, and making it visible to yourself constantly/regularly however that looks for you so it's never lost from your sight, internal & external.
there are many keys: allowing the vision to change as new information is gained. making sure there's a community component to steer clear of being and feeling alone. taking steps however small forward to the vision. having a plan and course correcting as you go along with breathing room. holding it tightly and lightly at the same time. keeping courage (heart) and faith along the way. resting. quietude. asking for help and receiving it. grace. joy. love. peace.
